A Birthday Story
Gathering Friends and Family
There are some birthday parties that just must be videoed. Of course, there are the children's birthdays. Then there are the milestones. Sweet Sixteen. Coming-Of-Age at 21. The big Three-Oh. The big Four-Oh. The big Five-Oh. And every decade that follows, hopefully up to a hundred-year celebration!
Its A Birthday Party!
Yes, there are some shots that make a birthday party a birthday party. People in party hats. The birthday cake. Lit candles. Singing the song. Blowing out the lit candles. Presents. Opening presents.
Interviews with guests make the movie more interesting. And much more interesting to look at years later. Make a list of each person to be interviewed during the reunion. The time can be scheduled and the schedule will be distributed to each person so that they will know when and where their presence will be required. Everything will run much smoother this way and your guests can relax and enjoy themselves.
Make It Even Better
Quiet time with parents and family, with hugs and kisses and meaningful remarks, will bcome deeply cherished as the years pass. And some final words from the birthday person. What did they think of the past year or years? What are their hopes for the coming year and years? These captured moments are what make birthday movies become family heirlooms.
